Microsoft Origami – Wow is it real this time?

Posted on February 27, 2006

Okay.. This is pretty kewl. It seems to be a leak, but as we've all seen as in the case of the large-touch-screen video iPod, there are a lot of crazy people who like to fake out a gullible crowd..

So here's what I've found so far.. There is a website www.origamiproject.com that is registered to Microsoft Corporation, (verified by GoDaddy.com's whois lookup Here )

Here is the video of Origami, which was supposedly leaked. (Get it while its hot, it may not last!)

Watch the Video!

This could be real, it definitely looks kewl. Is this M$'s attempt to steal the thunder from Apple tomorrow? The count down till tomorrow begins!!! lol

* Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft

To start click on the big blue circle on the bottom right side of the window after you click the link below.

“Have you checked on the children?” – Review

Posted on February 21, 2006

This past weekend I went with a group of friends to go see When a Stranger Calls. The movie was not the best I have seen but it definitely got a 7 out of 10 in my book. It was of course a remake of the 1979 When a Stranger Calls. I guess they can't make anything new anymore, lol. The movie had a decent plot, but the suspense was what gave it the 5 out of 7 . At times during the movie, the entire audience would come out of their seats, even letting a few words fly from their mouths in panic. I honestly don't remember jumping that much in a movie in a long time. If you want a good scare, and possibly new fears next time your alone (says a friend who started having them...lol)(hey a few rustling heaving breathing prank phone calls might of helped...lol..but who..hehe), go see it!

Awesome New User Interface Technology!

Posted on February 13, 2006

Some amazing user interface work being done here, make sure to watch the entire video. This will be awesome for graphics and movie editing apps. My mouth is watering, I want one of these Badddddd!

"While touch sensing is commonplace for single points of contact, multi-touch sensing enables a user to interact with a system with more than one finger at a time, as in chording and bi-manual operations. Such sensing devices are inherently also able to accommodate multiple users simultaneously, which is especially useful for larger interaction scenarios such as interactive walls and tabletops."

Hyperdrive engine could let us reach Mars in 3 hours

Posted on February 2, 2006

The US military is considering testing the principle behind a type of space drive which holds the promise of reaching Mars in just three hours. Sounds like these guys have been watching too much Star Wars, but will it really work? I can see it 10 years from now,

Scenario:

(Kid gets ready for school, walks out to the bus stop then realizes he forgot something and runs back in the house.)
Kid: "Mom, mommm, I need you!"
Mom: "What is it Johnny?"
Kid: "I need you to sign my parental consent form for a field trip."
Mom: "No problem honey, Where are you going?"
Kid: "Ohh just Mars again. It should take us 3 hours to get there , we'll stay for about 2 hours, have our nice sack lunches, then head back home ."
Mom: "Ok Johnny. You be careful now, listen to your teacher. When she tells you to roll the window up, roll it up this time. And no poking holes in each others space suits, them things are expensive. And here take my 1000 mega pixel camera and get some good pictures of Cydonia while your there."
Kid: "Ok..Thanks mom!! See you this afternoon!!
