Try Firefox Browser… You won’t go back to IE!!

Posted on December 31, 2005

Several years ago when first heard about Firefox, I was like “whoopdeedoo, another IE imitation that’s going to fail”. I have been proved horribly wrong. I tried the software about 2 years ago, and loved it. I think my favorite feature is the tabbed browsing. You can open up several pages in one single window, without cluttering you taskbar. All you have to do is hold down the Ctrl-Key or Apple Command Key down and click on a link (especially useful for digg.com addicts) and viola its opened in a new tab at the top of the screen under the address bar. This feature is my favorite, but is not the only superb feature in Firefox. Firefox’s home page offers hundreds of plug-ins for this program, anything from Google toolbar to a Myspace.com toolbar. Firefox has a built-in RSS feed reader, which is a must if you’re a blogger or a blog reader. Firefox is also extremely fast when loading web pages. I would have never thought that I would have been writing this article, but Firefox has won me over. I want to share this great new M$ IE alternative with everyone. Try FireFox by clicking on the link below.

King Kong – Review

Posted on December 24, 2005

I went to see King Kong last night at 7:25 @ Carmike 15. The movie was basically a modernized version of the original. Maybe a little new dialogue, and much better graphics (MUCH BETTER GRAPHICS). The movie had excellent CGs. Jack Black played the role of the crazy movie producer, who was only interested in making the mighty dollar by and I qoute "Letting the world have a piece of one of the world's last remaining mystery for a price of a 25 cent admission ticket." The movie did have a couple parts that were definitely not suitable for children. One scene in particular was the fight between King Kong and the T-Rex. All in all, it was a pretty good movie. Definitely not as good as the new Batman, but pretty close. I give it a 7 outta 10.

Below I have attached a video prelude to the King Jong vs. T-Rex face-off:

(As seen in the above clip, the CG in this movie is definitely high quality!)

I’m back from the the Smoky Mountains!

Posted on December 23, 2005

Hiya folks! I'm finally back from a long week in Gatlinburg. I had a great time driving around the national park and hiking. We hit the ski slopes on Ober Mountain. It was 18 degress most of the time we were there. There we many scary icy car skidding moments as we headed down 441 thru the mountains into South Carolina. It was a great vacation and allowed me to get some much needed relaxation. Now I am back to work, I have so much to do next week. I've got a video advertisement project for Cherokee Fabrication due by Jan 1, and updates to do on just about every website that I maintain. Ahhhhhhh.. This is the downside to vacations, work piles up when ur gone. I am so ready for my next vacation already. I will be scuba diving in the Florida Keys, Yippeee!!! I have attached 1 out of the 1048 pictures that I took while up there below. I was standing on the corner of a ridge on the Laurel Falls trail.

Aighty then! I've got plenty of work to do! So L8er Folks!

My new mac has arrived, Yippeeee!

Posted on December 15, 2005

My new mac yesterday, but I didn't have a chance to blog about it. I was so busy loading software, and packing for trip to the mountains. I'm ready to hit the slopes. We will be up there for 7 days. I will try to bring back some great pictures. I doubt they will be near as good as if I had been able to go on the Scuba trip to Nassau, but hopefully I can get a couple good shots. Speakin of good shots, check out my new baby below.. hehe..

Powermac G5 (room a little messy though, haven't done any wire management since I moved everything)

New Mac

Oh yeah I'm in the process of getting my grades slowly on Auburn OASIS, keyword being slowly because profs take forever to grade exams and get them entered into the computer. I've currently got A's and B's and I'm waiting on one more teacher to post. Yeahhhh!!! Dustin that frustration off my shoulders!! Gellin like a felon!! LOL!!

AHHHH!! Final Exams today!!! Help me Obi Won Kenobi!! lol

Posted on December 12, 2005

Final exams are starting this morning, well actually for some people they started Friday of last week, but for me they are Monday and Tuesday of this week. I have my BIOL 1020, and MATH finals today, and Tech and Civ. tommorow. I studied until I couldn't study anymore yesterday, but I still feel unprepared. Why can't someone invent a smart pill, or just download this stuff into my head like in the Matrix. I'd take one of those ports in the back of my head if I had too, I'd just have to find a nice little plastic cap to keep it covered up..to keep the dust out...lol..Well let me get up and get going! I can do this! I can do this! I can do this!

Pretty cool. I tried this, but it didn't work too well. These guys must have LOTS of time. I mean, getting the contrast, and color just right. Tough.
